Drilling indicator well - heat pump/ cooling system from 50kW

Drilling for the construction of extraction and absorption wells for groundwater heat pumps or cooling systems must be notified in good time before drilling work begins.

Description

Boreholes that only tap the quaternary gravel and are not located in the water protection area may be started one month after receipt of the notification with complete documentation, provided the work has not been prohibited within this period. Boreholes that go several metres into the deeper tertiary layers (clay, silt, sand) require a permit under water law in addition to the drilling notification.

A separate permit under water law is required for the operation of the groundwater heat pump or cooling system.
