Notification of an animal welfare incident

If you suspect that animal welfare or animal health regulations are being violated, you can report this here.

Description

Your notification enables the official veterinarians to specifically check animal husbandry and take measures if the animal is being kept or mistreated in a way that is contrary to animal welfare. If necessary, orders are issued to remedy existing deficiencies.

You can either contact the KVR via the online contact form or file a complaint with the police.

Prerequisites

We require the following information in order to be able to pursue reports of animal welfare violations:

  • Owner of the animal (e.g. name, address, licence plate number)
  • Details of the incident
  • It is helpful if witnesses are named.

You will receive a confirmation email. We will follow up the information as quickly as possible. For data protection reasons, no information about the investigations will be provided.
