Staff approval for day care centres

If you would like to employ a specialist or supplementary pedagogical employee without a recognised qualification, you must apply for personnel approval.

Course description

As an independent provider, you can also employ specialist or supplementary educational staff who do not have a qualification recognised in Germany in accordance with § 16 AVBayKiBiG. To do this, you must submit an application for personnel authorisation and provide evidence of the relevant qualification.

If the Department of Education and Sport confirms that you are qualified as a specialised or supplementary educational worker, you can hire the staff member.

The Kita professional list of the Bavarian Centre for Family and Social Affairs/Bavarian Youth Welfare Office provides initial guidance for a possible assessment of the qualification.
