The courses at the Municipal School of Imagination offer a creative afternoon programme for primary school children and children with special needs.

Description

The School of Imagination supplements the art programmes offered by primary and special schools with courses and projects. All primary and special school children up to Year 4 can take part. To registerfor the 2023/24 school year,you can either use the registration form under Downloads & Links or register for the Schule der Phantasie at your school on the day of school enrolment on 13 March if your school offers courses there.

Prerequisites

Your child must attend a public primary school or special school (1st to 4th grade) in Munich.

Please note that registration is only possible by a parent or legal guardian or an authorised representative.

Duration & Costs

Fees

The fees for an annual course are 140 euros. There is a sibling discount for children who are on a course at the Schule der Phantasie, provided that the same payer is named for each child. The discount is 20 per cent for the second child and 50 per cent for the third child and above, depending on the age of the children.

Questions & Answers

What is offered in the courses?

The Municipal School of Imagination encourages your child's free and spontaneous creativity. Children are encouraged to express themselves artistically in various ways. The aim is to encourage your child's creativity, self-confidence in their own solutions and overall personality.


Who leads the courses?

The courses are led by instructors from various creative professions and freelance artists.


When and where do the courses take place?

The courses take place once a week from October to July in public primary schools. They last 90 minutes. There are no courses on holidays or during school holidays.


How do I enrol my child?

You must re-enrol your child every school year. Please submit the application for the coming school year by the end of May if possible.

The Schule der Phantasie organises the courses in July. If you register your child later, your child will be placed on the waiting list and will have the opportunity to move up.
