Further training for day carers

If you work as a childminder, you must provide evidence of 20 teaching units of further training per year. Further training is also possible.

Course description

The Munich City Youth Welfare Office, in collaboration with its partners, offers specialist training courses. These courses are aimed at qualified childminders working in home-based or large-scale childminding settings.

Childminders who are already working have the opportunity to undertake further training. To this end, the City Youth Welfare Office offers an on-the-job training programme. Upon successful completion, participants can obtain the certificate ‘Qualified Childminder in accordance with the Competence-Based Qualification Handbook: 150 teaching units of on-the-job training’.

The on-the-job training programme is recognised as further training for the duration of the course.

Information and course dates can be found in Munich’s annual training and qualification programme.
