Immission control licence - application
Industrial plants that cause heavy air and noise pollution or use hazardous substances require a licence.
Course description
An industrial plant requires an immission control licence before it is erected and commissioned if
- it causes particularly high levels of air and noise pollution or
- it contains certain quantities of hazardous substances and
- the installation is to be operated at the same location for longer than twelve months.
a list of these installations can be found in the Annex to the Ordinance on Installations Requiring Authorisation ( 4th BImSchV).
Delays can be avoided if you contact the authorities at an early stage. In this way, it is possible to clarify which documents are required, how the procedure works and whether an environmental impact assessment is necessary before the application is submitted.
