Apply for a youth fishing licence

In Bavaria, all minors aged seven and over are allowed to fish with an accompanying person without an additional fishing licence - without having to go through the authorities and incurring costs.

Competent authority

The youth fishing licence in Bavaria has been abolished.
From 1 January 2025, all minors who have reached the age of seven (instead of the previous age of ten) - accompanied by an adult with a fishing licence - will be allowed to fish without an additional fishing licence. This also eliminates the associated administrative procedures and costs (reducing the burden on families and the administration).
