Report endangerment of children and young people
If you wish to report a risk to children or young people, please contact the Sozialbürgerhaus, or the police outside opening hours.
Course description
Indications of danger can be
- Abuse,
- Neglect,
- domestic/physical/mental/sexualised violence,
- Breaches of supervisory duties,
- Emergency situations.
Every report is taken seriously! In Munich, district social work/orientation counselling in the social community centres clarifies reports of endangerment of children and young people and every report is clarified in personal contact and protective measures are arranged. If necessary, home visits are also carried out. Counselling and support is offered to parents, children and young people. Depending on the case, outpatient or (partial) inpatient help can be initiated. If parents or guardians are not in a position to accept help and there is an acute risk to children and young people, the need for protective accommodation/adoptive care is examined. If children and young people are at acute risk outside the opening hours of the social centres, please contact the police. The police will initiate the necessary measures in consultation with the Child and Youth Care Centre.
The social welfare centre in whose city region the child lives is responsible. You can make a report in person, by telephone, letter, fax or e-mail.
