Pre-allocation of licence plates

Description

with a pre-allocation, only journeys for the purpose of the registration procedure within Munich and a neighbouring registration district (DAH, FFB, district of Munich) are permitted. The advance allocation is certified for a period of 3 weeks.

Please note:

  • The unstamped licence plate must have been allocated to the vehicle in advance by the registration authority.
  • The unstamped licence plate must be attached to the vehicle.
  • With an advance licence plate, the vehicle documents must be carried on every journey.
  • Necessary journeys must be made directly, private detours (e.g. to the shops) are not permitted.

Prerequisites

  • Your main place of residence is in Munich.
  • The vehicle is located in Munich.
  • The vehicle is deregistered.
  • You have a private parking space (with a pre-allocation, the vehicle may not be parked on public property).

Required documents

  • Identity card or passport
  • For legal entities, companies and associations: Extract from the commercial or association register and business registration
  • In the case of representation: written power of attorney (original) as well as ID of the authorised representative (original) and ID of the principal (copy)
  • Registration certificate part I (vehicle licence)
  • Registration certificate part II (vehicle registration document)
  • eVB number (electronic insurance confirmation) for journeys with unstamped licence plates
