The City Youth Welfare Office is looking for foster parents
Sometimes it is better for parents and their children if the children live with foster parents for a certain period or even permanently, whilst the parents receive support to get their lives back on track. The Munich City Youth Welfare Office is looking for families who are willing to take children in.
The City Youth Welfare Office is looking for emergency foster families
Emergency foster care is a temporary support service for children aged 0 to 5 and their parents who are in an acute crisis situation. The aim is to assess the parents’ ability to care for the child in their care. A qualification in early years education is a prerequisite for this.

The Munich City Youth Welfare Office prepares all foster parents for their role. Whilst the foster child is living with you, specialist staff will be on hand to support you. You can also take part in seminars, themed afternoons and group sessions through a comprehensive training programme. All foster parents receive a foster care allowance, which is graded according to the age of the child or young person.
An information evening is held every month to provide comprehensive information to interested parties, prospective emergency foster carers and foster parents. The information evening is non-binding and free of charge. You will be given the venue upon registration.
