Household budget counselling - FIT-FinanzTraining
If you have difficulties with your finances, FIT-FinanzTraining will support you with personalised advice on your financial situation.
Description
FIT-FinanzTraining supports Munich residents in overcoming financial problems by clarifying their finances by surveying their income and expenditure situation, analysing their finances and pointing out potential solutions, even in the case of over-indebtedness. Particularly in the case of indebtedness and over-indebtedness, there is cooperation with the municipal debtor and insolvency counselling service, to which indebted clients are referred for further debt settlement.
The primary aim is to secure their livelihood and maintain their home. In addition to clarifying the financial situation of the household, the aim is to achieve a balanced budget, avoid or reduce debt and make financial provisions. There is cooperation with the specialist centre for the prevention of homelessness, City of Munich, Office for Housing and Migration.
The individual counselling sessions are offered in 1 to 5 appointments over a six-month period, but can be extended if necessary. The meetings take place at the FIT-FinanzTraining advice centre, in the social community centres or at the municipal debtor and insolvency advice centre, depending on the arrangement. They are confidential and free of charge.
The counselling services are aimed at Munich residents, primarily low-income households and households in difficult financial situations. Registration with FIT-FinanzTraining can be made through the responsible caseworker at the Sozialbürgerhaus, but also through other institutions. It is also possible to register directly with FIT-FinanzTraining via the homepage, by email ( mailto:info@fit-finanztraining.de) or by phone (089-21269700). Appointments are only possible by prior arrangement. The opening hours and telephone consultation hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
Prerequisites
The counselling service is reserved for Munich residents only.
Legal basis
The counselling is based, among other things, on the counselling, support and activation provided for in Section 11 (1) and (2) SGB XII. Paragraph 2 specifies budget counselling as a counselling mandate.
