Life certificate

Do you receive a pension from a foreign pension insurance institution? If so, you usually have to submit a life certificate once a year.

Description

Persons who receive a pension from a foreign pension insurance institution are requested by this institution once or several times a year to submit a so-called life certificate. The pension recipients concerned usually receive a form ("Lebensbescheinigung"), which must be completed, signed by hand and returned after the official confirmation. You can obtain this official confirmation from the Citizens Office and the Munich Insurance Office.

You will only receive the life certificate from us by prior appointment.

Difference between the Citizens Office and the Insurance Office
You can obtain the life certificate from both the Citizens Office and the Insurance Office. The Citizens Office only issues the certificate. The Insurance Office also offers the possibility of counselling.

We are switching to a new appointment system.

Please note therefore:

Prerequisites

  1. Valid identification document (identity card or passport)
  2. Form ("life certificate") from the foreign pension provider
