Collection of identity card, passport or eID card

Before you collect an ID card and/or passport or eID card for yourself or another person, you need to know the following.

Description

  • You do not need an appointment for collection at the Citizens Office branches (Orleansplatz, Leonrodstraße, Riesenfeldstraße, Forstenrieder Allee, Pasing).
  • For collection at the KVR centre, Ruppertstraße 19A, you can make an appointment online or via the service telephone 233-96000. Alternatively, collection is also possible without a pre-booked appointment - with waiting times.

The district administration department will be closed on 27 and 30 December 2024. No collection is possible on these days.

Prerequisites

Your collection slip will tell you where your ID document can be collected.

Before you go to collect it or book an appointment at the Citizens Office, please check by telephone or online whether your ID card, passport or eID card is ready for collection. You will find all the relevant information on your collection slip.

Required documents

  • Collection slip/s
  • previous identity documents, if available (identity card, passport, children's passport, temporary documents)
  • fully completed authorisation for collection, if applicable
  • if applicable, declarations of consent, decision on custody and other (if indicated on the collection slip)

Duration & Costs

Fees

The fee has usually already been paid when the application is submitted.

If this has not been done, the fees are as follows

  • Identity card under 24 years of age: 22.80 euros

  • Identity card over the age of 24: 37 euros

  • Passport under the age of 24: 37.50 euros

  • Passport over the age of 24: 70 euros

  • eID card: 37 euros

Payment methods available

Questions & Answers

You can also have the ID documents collected by another person or a fulfilment service provider (power of attorney available for download). This person will need a written authorisation from you and their own valid ID document.

The authorised person must be at least 16 years old to collect an ID card and at least 18 years old to collect a passport.


You will receive a PIN for the ID card and the eID card from Bundesdruckerei GmbH. It is only possible to collect an ID card with authorisation if youhave received the PIN letterand confirm this in the authorisation.

If you have not received the PIN letter, you must collect the ID card or eID card in person.
