Funding for noise protection - living without noise

Are you the owner of a residential building with rented flats on a noisy street? Then you can have your noise protection measures subsidised by the city.

Description

The "Living without noise" subsidy programme is a financial incentive for effective noise protection measures in residential buildings and on residential properties, for example box-type windows, sliding shutters, glazing of existing loggias or balconies, noise protection façades in front of buildings, added arcades or the reorganisation of existing floor plans.

The grant amounts to up to 150 euros per square metre of improved living space.

The focus is on existing buildings and residential neighbourhoods. However, new buildings can also be subsidised if they serve as supplementary noise protection structures.

The prerequisite is an overall concept with a description of the planned measures and expected reductions in noise levels.

The programme aims to improve the quality of living on noisy roads in a timely, short-term and sustainable manner.

Prerequisites

  • You own a residential building with subsidised, price-controlled and privately financed rental flats.
  • Your residential building is located directly on a noisy road. The action values of 64 dB(A) during the day and/or 54 dB(A) at night are exceeded. Enter the address of your property in the "Responsible authority" search query to check whether it is located in an eligible area.

Required documents

  • Description of the overall technical concept
  • Sound insulation expertise
  • Ventilation certificates (depending on the concept)
  • Plans and details
  • List of living space
  • Statement of costs
