Duplicate (trade licence)

Course description

Upon request, you will receive a duplicate of the business registration certificate of the respective business in the so-called "standing trade" with its registered office in Munich.

You can submit the application in person at the trade authority or in writing by e-mail to gewerbemeldung.kvr@muenchen.de.

If you apply in person, the trade authority will issue you with the duplicate immediately. If you submit an application by e-mail, you will receive the duplicate by post. The invoice for 20 euros will then be sent to you separately by post.

You must make an appointment online for a personal visit. A duplicate of the business registration reflects the last registered status. If the business has already been deregistered, a duplicate of the original registration certificate cannot be issued.

Prerequisites

The business must be registered and the data must still be up to date. If there have been any changes in the meantime (e.g. name of the trader, activity or business address or, in the case of legal entities, a change of authorised representatives), a business re-registration must be submitted.

Required documents

Identity card or passport, please enclose a copy if applying in writing by e-mail.
In the case of authorisation: current written power of attorney and a copy of the ID of the person granting the power of attorney and the authorised representative.
