Description

Explanatory video

"The mentoring partnership - orientation on the labour market in Germany"

The programme, developed based on a successful Canadian model, brings qualified migrants (mentees) and established professionals from the region into a career-relevant relationship. The mentoring partnership focusses on a personal transfer of knowledge and experience from person to person.

The aim: to develop a personalised career strategy

Our aim is to enable people with foreign degrees to find employment in Germany that is commensurate with their qualifications.

The mentors support the mentees in identifying their qualifications, professional skills and individual experience and applying these successfully in the application process. Mentors pass on their experience and knowledge of the respective industry and advise on the development of an individual career strategy. It is important to us that the mentees' resources are valued and that the tandem engages in dialogue on an equal footing.

The "Mentoring PLUS" project of the regional integration network "MigraNet plus Region München" is funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the European Union via the European Social Fund Plus ESF Plus) as part of the IQ - Integration through Qualification funding programme and administered by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees. Partners in the implementation are the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Federal Employment Agency.

The next round of the Mentoring Partnership Munich will start in spring 2025.
The application deadline for mentees is 31 January 2025.

Exceptions are possible in individual cases. Please contact us for further information.
You are welcome to apply as a mentor at any time.

Questions & Answers

The mentees are highly motivated professionals from abroad with a university degree, a good command of German, a wide range of other language skills and relevant professional experience.

The mentors are experienced professionals who support our mentees in finding their way around and establishing themselves on the labour market. You benefit from the professional and personal exchange with your mentee and at the same time can expand your professional and leadership skills.

Firstly, we ask you to get to know each other personally. This can take place in person or online. After the tandem meeting, you can both decide how you want to organise the meetings: In the office, in the park, online, while jogging or even just on the phone. The important thing is to stay in regular contact and work on the goals you have set yourself.

No. But the mentor will support you in your search for a suitable job, in the application process and in preparing for job interviews.
