Description

The municipal school type-independent orientation level (Ori) is a special type of school that prepares your child for the transition to Year 7. Your child can only attend 5th and 6th grade at Ori. They will be prepared for the transition to Year 7 at a secondary school. Which secondary school can be attended is decided at the end of Year 6.

The enrolment deadline for the 5th grade of the municipal school type-independent orientation level is by dropping the required documents in the letterbox at Quiddestraße 4 from

Prerequisites

  • Your child has successfully completed the 4th grade of a primary school.

The places at the municipal school type-independent orientation level are allocated as follows:

Group A: 60 places (20 %) for pupils with an average grade of 1.00 to 2.33

Group B: 90 places (30 %) for pupils with a grade point average of 2.66

Group C: 90 places (30 %) for pupils with a grade point average of 3.00 and 3.33

Group D: All pupils who do not belong to groups A, B and C. This includes pupils with a grade point average of 3.66 or higher and pupils from state-approved schools or pupils from state primary schools without a transfer certificate

If more children are registered than there are places available, a lottery will be held. If your child does not get a place, you can enrol them at a grammar school or secondary school. Please note the requirements for enrolment at a grammar school or secondary modern school. Otherwise, your child will automatically be enrolled by the primary school in the secondary school assigned to your place of residence (school district).

Required documents

On the day of registration (enrolment), legal guardians or an authorised representative must present the following original documents:

  • Original birth certificate
  • Original copy of the primary school transfer certificate
  • custody order, if applicable
  • Proof of measles immunisation or proof of immunity (in accordance with the Measles Protection Act)
