MUCs - Munich Urban Celebrations
As part of the MUCs parties (Munich Urban Celebrations), we offer young people between the ages of 18 and 35 the opportunity to organise their own party.
Course description
In principle, there is freedom of concept with regard to target group, music and similar aspects for the events, provided that all legal requirements (such as protection of minors, artistic freedom and others) are complied with. Events that serve the sole purpose of profit maximisation or advertising are not permitted.
Please note that Fröttmaninger Berg has its own general conditions. As soon as these have been finalised, you will find them here or you can obtain them directly from MoNa.

Dates From 2026 we will no longer specify dates. Desired dates can be requested and reserved. If an alternative date is specified, this should also be checked in advance
Important note
In order to maintain the skate park (and the other areas) as an event area, it is important that the conditions of the event licence, such as noise protection, are complied with.
Prerequisites
Young people between the ages of 18 and 35.
Deadlines
The regular deadline for receipt of an application for authorisation of an event is 2 months. For Munich Urban Celebrations (MUCs), a shorter application period of 6 weeks is possible. In individual cases and for repeated events, shorter application periods may also be possible. This must be checked in the specific case. The deadline is extended for special requests.

Questions & Answers
To apply, two people who wish to plan an event together are required. It is not necessary for these people to be part of a collective. Both people must submit the event application together.
Anyone aged between 18 and 35 who is registered as a resident in Munich or the MVV area can apply to be an organiser. Only one of the two organisers needs to be registered as a resident in Munich.
The following event sizes are permitted for the various venues:
Schneckenplatz and Neuhofener Berg: maximum of 400 people at any one time
Fröttmaninger Berg: maximum of 800 people at any one time (subject to change)
Due to legal requirements, the following time restrictions apply:
- Schneckenplatz and Neuhofener Berg:
latest end time for events: 10. 00 pm - Fröttmaninger Berg/skate park:
Latest end time for the event: 5 am
- Permitted for one-day events, provided that the bass levels can be regulated or that sound equipment with the relevant certification is used
- Latest finish time for multi-day events: 10 pm.
Following a brief consultation with MoNa, advisory and information meetings can be arranged via Webex or in person. In addition, organised site visits are also possible, during which the event venues can be examined in more detail. Appointments are available on request.
Once your booking has been confirmed, there will be an application meeting to discuss all relevant matters.

- Toi Toi & Dixi Sanitärsysteme GmbH have offered their support and are providing three portable toilets for the event – organisers can request these

- Information on potential financial grants
- Workshop series for event organisers
