MUCs - Munich Urban Celebrations
As part of the MUCs parties (Munich Urban Celebrations), we offer young people between the ages of 18 and 35 the opportunity to organise their own party.

Event dates
From 2026 we will no longer specify dates. Requested dates can be enquired about and reserved. If an alternative date is specified, this should also be checked in advance.
Who is allowed to organise?
For an application, two responsible persons are required who would like to plan an event together. It is not necessary for these persons to be organised in a collective. Both persons submit the event application together.
Anyone aged between 18 and 35 who is registered in Munich or the MVV area can apply as an event organiser. Only one of the two organisers must be registered directly in Munich.
Which events are eligible?
The following event sizes are planned for the various squares:
Schneckenplatz and Neuhofener Berg: maximum of 400 people at the same time
Fröttmaninger Berg: maximum of 800 people at the same time (subject to change)
Due to legal requirements, the following time restrictions apply:
- Schneckenplatz and Neuhofener Berg: latest end of event: 10 pm
- Fröttmaninger Berg/Skateplatz: latest end of event: 5 a.m
- possible for one-day events, and if the bass can be regulated or a system technology with corresponding expertise is used
- latest end time for events lasting several days: 10 pm.
In principle, there is freedom of concept with regard to target group, music and similar aspects for the events, provided that all legal requirements (such as protection of minors, artistic freedom and others) are complied with. Events that serve the sole purpose of profit maximisation or advertising are not permitted.
Please note that Fröttmaninger Berg has its own general conditions. As soon as these have been finalised, you will find them here or you can obtain them directly from MoNa.

In order to maintain the skate park (and the other areas) as an event area, it is important that the conditions of the event licence, such as noise protection, are complied with.

Young people between the ages of 18 and 35.
Deadlines
The regular deadline for receipt of an application for authorisation of an event is 2 months. For Munich Urban Celebrations (MUCs), a shorter application period of 6 weeks is possible. In individual cases and for repeated events, shorter application periods may also be possible. This must be checked in the specific case. The deadline is extended for special requests.

Consultation and information appointments can be arranged at short notice with MoNa via Webex or in person. In addition, organised site visits are also possible, during which the event locations can be viewed more closely. Appointments are available on request.
After a successful reservation, there will be an application meeting where all relevant topics will be discussed.
