As the owner of a property, you can enquire whether it is listed in the register of contaminated sites and whether information on contamination is available.

Course description

Information on contaminated sites is a written notification as to whether a property is listed in the contaminated site register of the Bavarian State Office for the Environment.

This contains information on the history, extent, type and degree of possible contamination available to the authority.

Prerequisites

Property owners or authorised persons in the Munich city area are entitled to receive information about contaminated sites.

Required documents

The application must be submitted in writing (see contact field below for address) or by e-mail to altlastenauskunft.rku@muenchen.de.

  • Application form
  • A copy of the current extract from the land register showing the ownership structure.
  • If applicable, a declaration of consent from the landowner if the applicant is not the landowner themselves
