International student programme
Are you between 15 and 17 years old and attend a Munich school? Then apply for a student exchange or an exchange programme abroad.
Description
In our exchange and encounter programmes, you can learn important key skills, develop your personality and strengthen your awareness of social and political contexts. There are two types of exchange programmes to choose from:
- Reciprocal exchange with a stay with a host family:
During your two-week stay abroad, you will live with a host family and take part in the official programme as a group during the day. In addition to visits and day trips, the programme also includes workshops on social, cultural and political education topics. At the weekends, you will spend your free time with your host family. During the two-week return visit, you will give your guest an insight into your everyday school life and let them participate in family life. An exchange with Cincinnati, USA takes place annually. Further exchange opportunities are published on our homepage as they arise. - Bi- and multinational encounters:
You come together with other young people from different countries in one place. There you work together on projects, take part in workshops and work on problems. A youth exchange programme usually lasts four to ten days. You can find out which projects are currently on offer on our homepage.
The visits abroad usually take place during the Bavarian school holidays, the return visits to Munich usually outside the school holidays.
You will be prepared for the exchange and accompanied by your school.
