Medical certificate for carrying narcotics

If you are carrying medically necessary anaesthetics with you when travelling, you can have your medical certificates or attestations authenticated.

Description

The medical certificates or attestations issued can be certified for carrying medically necessary narcotics, especially when travelling. It will be checked whether the issuing doctors are properly registered with the Medical District and County Association (ÄKBV) for the city of Munich.
The online appointment booking will be activated on Monday (in the morning) for the following week.

Prerequisites

The following points must be observed when issuing or notarising:

  • The issuing doctor must be duly registered with the Medical District and County Association (ÄKBV) in the city of Munich.
  • The original medical certificate for carrying narcotics must be presented. A copy is not sufficient.
  • The medical certificate must always be stamped and signed by the issuing doctor (no signature "on behalf of" or "by proxy").
  • You are strongly advised to clarify the legal situation in the country you are travelling to before starting your trip.

Required documents

  • Original medical certificate or attestation with stamp and signature of the issuing doctor
  • Identity card or passport
  • If a personal appearance is not possible, a person can be authorised. This person requires
    -a written power of attorney
    -a copy of the identity card/passport of the person granting the authorisation
    -identity card/passport of the authorised person

Fees

15 euros per doctor and trip, which is notarised.
