The municipal youth welfare office is looking for foster parents

Sometimes it is better for parents and their children if the children live with foster parents for a certain period of time or permanently and the parents are supported in organising their lives. The Munich Youth Welfare Office is looking for families who are willing to take in children

The City Youth Welfare Office is looking for standby foster families

On-call foster care is a temporary support programme for children aged 0 to 5 and their parents who are in an acute crisis situation. The aim is to clarify the parents' ability to raise the child in their care. The prerequisite for this is pedagogical training.

We support you!

The Munich Youth Welfare Office prepares all foster parents for their task. While the foster child is living with you, the specialists will be at your side. You can also attend seminars, themed afternoons and groups via an extensive training programme.
All foster parents receive a foster care allowance, graduated according to the age of the child or young person.

An information evening is held every month to provide comprehensive information to interested parties, future on-call foster carers and foster parents. The information evening is non-binding and free of charge. You will receive the venue when you register.
