- Advice on rent overcharges and initiation of fine proceedings in accordance with Section 5 of the Economic Offences Act
- The enforcement of Section 5 of the Economic Offences Act offers tenants of privately financed housing protection against overpriced rents.
According to Section 5 of the Economic Offences Act, anyone who intentionally or recklessly demands, allows themselves to be promised or accepts unreasonably high fees for the letting of residential premises or associated ancillary services is committing an administrative offence.
The offence can be punished with a fine of up to 50,000 euros. In addition, the overpaid rent can be ordered to be repaid in the fine proceedings.

- the rented flat is located within the city limits of the City of Munich.
- Tenants or landlords are not members of an interest group.
- Tenants or landlords are not represented by a lawyer.
