Collection of driving licences

If your driving licence is ready for collection, you can make an appointment online to collect it.

Description

If the driving licence is not collected within one year, the application will be discontinued and the driving licence destroyed.

If you have any questions about this, you can contact us via our contact form, by phone or make an appointment online.

Prerequisites

Your driving licence is ready for collection. Before making an appointment, please use the status query to find out whether your driving licence is ready for collection.

If you applied for a driving licence when you were 17, you can only collect your driving licence from your 18th birthday, and in the case of a new licence following withdrawal or waiver, at the earliest one day after the expiry of the blocking period (if the earliest possible collection date is a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, collection is only possible on the following working day).

Required documents

1. Identity card or passport of the applicant

2. Previous driving licence and/or temporary replacement document, if applicable

In the case of authorisation:

You can authorise a person to collect your driving licence. This person must identify themselves with their own passport/ID card and present a written, signed power of attorney from you. The documents listed under 1. and 2. must also be brought along.
