GeoPortal Munich
The GeoPortal is the central platform of Munich for providing spatial information on the internet.
The Portals
In thematically specific portals, geospatial base data (including aerial imagery and city maps) from the GeodatenService München are combined with various specialist information from the different departments of the Bavarian capital city. The underlying open-source software, Masterportal, offers a wide range of tools that allow users, among other things, to print maps, share current content, collect geospatial data themselves, or have routes and accessibility analyses calculated.

Map of Cooler Places
The cooler places map not only shows cool spots in parks and green spaces as well as Munich’s public lakes but also publicly accessible cool indoor areas. The map is especially useful for people travelling on foot, by bicycle, or using public transport within the city who wish to escape the heat temporarily.
City Climate Analysis
The city climate analysis provides valuable information about the current climate in the city and future scenarios, offering important insights for upcoming planning.

The open geodata portal offers open datasets from the specialist departments via standardised interfaces for download.

Accessibility
The portal consolidates various information on accessibility, such as the locations of disabled parking spaces or accessible toilets within the city’s scope of responsibilities.
Construction Sites
The construction site service map provides an overview of current and planned construction sites and parking restrictions in Munich, which cause limitations for driving, walking, and parking.
Charging Infrastructure
The portal offers an overview of individual quotas and other helpful information that can assist in selecting location proposals for application submissions.
Mobility Portal
The specialist information of the Mobility Department is consolidated in this portal. It includes datasets on bicycle parking, mobility points, parking management areas, micro-mobility, car sharing, the environmental zone, and public parking facilities.
Cycling Map
The Munich Cycling Map shows, in addition to the Munich road network, the cycling network, signed main cycling routes and service stations.
School Route Portal
The portal aims to help parents develop safe school routes for their children by providing relevant information.

FKG Area Bonus
The Climate-Neutral Buildings Funding Program (FKG) can be applied for, among other things, the renovation of residential buildings.

Geothermal Energy

Small Wind Power Potential

Municipal Heat Plan
The municipal heat plan considers the current heat supply in the city area and provides information on future climate-neutral supply options.

Tree Protection Ordinance
The purpose of the tree protection ordinance is to ensure appropriate urban greenery, enliven the townscape, preserve and improve the natural balance, and mitigate harmful environmental impacts.

City Centre Concept

The portal provides information on the locations of various facilities and contact points within the individual districts
Urban Development Plan
The new urban development plan (STEP) is Munich’s future-oriented plan. It contains seven action areas with goals for sustainable urban development.

Digital School Construction Map
The digital school construction map displays projects from the school construction programmes, showing where new schools are planned or already under construction. Existing schools can also be viewed.
Cooperative All-Day Education (KoGa)
The all-day schooling model for primary school children combines lessons with after-school care. It supports and relieves Munich families. This portal provides information on current locations.
Sports Offers
The sports portal presents seasonal activities to help you stay fit, including indoor sports programmes and "Fit in the Park"

The Europe Guide through Munich makes it easier for you to access information and supports you in learning about European topics as well as finding the right contact points in Munich.
Start-up Centres
With this portal, the Department of Labor and Economic Development aims to support start-ups in finding start-up centres. The map provides an overview of existing offerings in Munich and the surrounding area.
Vacancies
The portal displays vacant property locations. Active vacancy management aims to shorten vacancy periods and improve centre development to maintain the city’s attractiveness.

Waste and Disposal
The portal includes the locations of all AWM recycling islands and waste collection centres in Munich.
Government Mailboxes
This portal provides information on government mailboxes. Additional mailboxes for postal voting documents are integrated into the portal shortly before elections.
